Word Filled Wednesday Psalm 18:46

The purpose of Word Filled Wednesday is to share the WORD through a photo and a verse.

Psalm 18:46 The Lord lives! Praise be to my rock! Exalted be God my Savior!
I told ya'll last week that the focus of my photos and verses for a month would be on Worship. Well I wanted to share this little picture I took while I was wandering down the sandy shoreline. The day after last week's post, we took off for the coast to spend 3 nights just relaxing, talking (a LOT) and doing some listening too. That and a little goofing off... but what else is new?

I mentioned that worship isn't something we just do on Sundays, when the guy with the slicked back hair gets up front and tells us what to do... it's a way of life. I don't know how ANYONE could look out over the breathtaking expanse of the ocean, feel the pounding waves against the rocks and hear the musical sounds of the sea birds without KNOWING that God exists. The response I have towards a scene like this? It's worship. Pure and simple.

Absolutely beautiful picture and I love the verse too. Yes, worship is more than just the Sunday morning song service. Great post. Worship needs to be a daily, moment by moment thing.

Beautiful picture and Scripture. Beautifully illustrated, too. Worship should be part of our everyday lives, like you said, not just on Sunday's and Wednesday's. My heart is in high-worship mode this morning with all these beautiful Scriptures and pictures. Happy WFW!

Oh Oh Oh Oh... I loved your expressions regarding the verse Lexie...

It's fantastic and I have often pondered that very same thought about, "how can you question God's existance in the sight of such awe"....

I only want to mildy take a giant detour off the subject for two seconds and just say, have you ever been in a nail salon getting your nails done when the ladies around you speak in Vietnamese? You're pretty sure they are talking about how you bit your nails down to nubs and you might be grateful you don't understand them but at the same time if you did, you could totally shock them by saying something back like, oh say, I want pogy bait, which by the way is not Vietnamese, but rather a means of asking for candy... a small lesson my Dad gave me on his days in Vietnam.... anyway, my point is that every time I have to fill out the capcha, you know, all the letters to post a comment, I think blogspot is talking to me in Spanish and I don't know enough to decipher the expression... it makes me anxious.

*rocks back and forth sucking my thumb*

ROTFL... I'm just kidding...

*We now return to our regularly scheduled conversation, which, is by far, way more important than my language barriers.* =)

The photo is fabulous and so is the verse to go with it. I'm convinced that we worship God with everything we do, whether it's at the ocean, sitting in front of a computer, talking with our spouses or listening to a friend in her time of distress. We don't gotta be in church to do it!
