Word Filled Wednesday Exodus 14:14

The purpose of Word Filled Wednesday is to share the WORD through a photo and a verse.

Exodus 14:14
The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.

Whew, what a week! This verse really speaks to me - the LORD sits in His place to do the unthinkable. It is my job as a Christian - a "Christ Follower" - to do only things that please Him. That bring Glory to HIM. God reminds us that as long as we are doing His will, that He will fight the big fights for us. He will bring victory if we are serving Him! Here in Exodus, He's speaking to the Israelites who keep whining and moaning to Him about their problems (much like I am prone to doing!) and He tells them that they have no reason to be afraid or to falter, because they will not be facing their problem much longer. Isn't that a wonderful feeling? To know that no matter what life throws at us, whether it's a struggle with a family member, or a spouse, or a co-worker, or someone like Pharaoh, that HE will fight the fight for us as long as what we are doing is following Him. Stand FIRM and HE will bring you deliverance!

Regarding your comment on my "Lessons Learned" post, involving the sliding glass door.....your thinking is right! We definitely have to watch out for "chest high" stacking...AND closing sliding doors! lol

Thanks so much for all of your comments. Most of all, thanks for your prayers! Oh, btw...when I signed up to be a follower of your blog, it said this:
"You have followed this URL, but it doesn't appear to have a feed."

I have no idea what that means, don't know if it's important, but thought I'd let you know...just in case you have to do something...whatever that may be! :o) I know just enough about computers to check emails and post blogs! lol

OMGosh, this is hands down my most favorite! Remember when I once said that some times when we go to church the sermon touches us and other times the subject or content we can't recall, because at the moment it doesn't fit for us... a time will come when it does...

Anyway, I love this one... thank you so much Lex! I know you've been going through some stuff yourself. I was thinking about you today, I mean, I do it every day, but today I was recognizing how God put together a really wonderful circle of friends... when one stumbles, God places one of us in front of the other as a reminder of where our focus should be....

Thank you for the times you have called me on the carpet when I've needed it. There are times when I've hated it, but upon reflection I see where you were right... and in return, I know you've had the same moments with me... I love you so much, you are a wonderful friend and a blessing to boot.

Blessings Alexis...Beautiful photo and graphics of this verse! Great thoughts & insights for us! To follow Christ, I will...allow Him to fight my fights! I thank you because I think I needed this gem of wisdom! I just need to stand firm! Be still! You'd think that'd be easy...I guess I neded to be reminded!

Hey Alexis,

"Be Still and Know That I am God." There is something about that verse kind of goes with being still and He will fight for us.

Thanks for sharing!

Happy WFW, well I guess maybe Happy Thursday is what I should write since I'm a bit late today.

"Stand firm and HE will bring you deliverance." AMEN!!! We went through a very difficult time last year. That statement affirms what we learned during that time. You have written a very powerful post.

Blessings...
