Six packs and Poop

Apparently, I'm not the only one with random thoughts this fine Tuesday. After seeing Jen's random post and the list of what is on Misty's mind, I feel NOT so alone. I guess the friendship bread issues from yesterday could be behind me? Maybe not.

Anyway, today I wanted to touch on a few things that concern me. First, wondering how extremely LUCKY I am to have such adorable nephews. I mean, seriously people, do I deserve this?

Of course not, don't be silly! They are my husband's nephews, he deserved them, I just get the benefit of being called an Aunt in that sweet little boy voice and saying to people that they are MY nephews because we all have the same last name. So there.

Another thing I've been worried about lately is why my five year old has six pack abs.

And hair with BODY. Is that normal? I'm also worried about why he always steps in chicken poo.

Sorry for the visual, but my daughter took that picture. I should be concerned about why she is taking pictures like that, but when I stop and think about it, she's a lot like her mother. I couldn't resist posting this. Just to Gross. You. Out. Did it work? Don't worry, I never even knew he did this until today (a long time afterwards), so when he ran through the house sometime later that day, it didn't phase me one bit. It also doesn't phase me that I gave birth to a monkey.

What's this? Another boy child with no shoes on? Hello?? We have lots of chickens!!
Thankfully those chickens are mostly behind bars now, to keep them out of my garden that is actually producing green colors. Who knew?
The other thing behind bars is our Thanksgiving Dinner. Now why, oh why would somebody eat something as precious as this?

There is a HUGE reason my husband named this turkey "Tasty"... but I just can't get over the fact that I like to hug that turkey. I forgave Tasty for being attracted to the seam on the backside of my pants. I'm not sure what the attraction is to that ONE seam. I also talked sweet words when Tasty was freaking out about the fireworks. I don't like my meat all tough, so sit down, get fat, and enjoy your life! Which might be longer if I get my way.

Speaking of getting fat, the tomatoes are SO ON! I am pleased as punch that I put something in the dirt and it's still alive. KL, please don't ask me about the Pineapple Sage anymore... it looks a little crispy on the edges, but I tell you, I'm trying to revive it!!! It was just WAY too hot in our house this week and well, it looks like my kids. All worn out.

And, just a little photo update on Pips and Squeaks that were hatched on my front porch less than three weeks ago... they're doing great! They don't even fit in the nest anymore. Sort of like my kids.

Now, another thing I'm concerned about is the sheer amount of poop they are dropping on my front porch. I hope nobody steps in it.

Are you enjoying YOUR summer?

The pips and squeaks poop, the pipsqueaks step in poop, the world goes 'round.

And I am jealous your tomatoes are on. :(-

OH for the love of pineapple sage...will you stop with the poop already?!

I actually SAT down in a monster blog of chicky poo yesterday. Yes, I almost lost my cookies!

...and the world goes 'round and 'round!

Hey, just so you know I am J-E-A-L-O-U-S of your garden!

OH! Those swallow babies are absolutely adorable!! Reminds me of my wildlife rehabbing days when I was raising baby robins, house finches and mockingbirds. Feeding every 20 minutes.

And oh, da poop!!
